City of Hope is a collaborative, narrative roleplaying game about imagining and building a better future together.
Set in the year 2050 after decades of climate upheaval and social transformation, players take on the roles of solarpunks working to rebuild a thriving, sustainable city rooted in cooperation, justice, and ecological balance. Together, you’ll design neighborhoods, create traditions, solve community challenges, and tell stories about what it means to heal a broken world.
Choose from unique character paths like The Beekeeper, The Caretaker, The Permaculturist, The Storyteller, or The Climate Scientist, each bringing different skills and perspectives to your evolving city.
The game emphasizes collaborative storytelling, empathy, and imagination rather than combat or competition. Sessions unfold through conversation and light mechanics using dice, tarot cards, or pure narrative play.
Play with a guide or entirely guide-less, with a group or solo, in a single session or an ongoing campaign.
Inside the book you’ll find character creation tools, worldbuilding guides, a starter scenario, seasonal festivals, and everything you need to begin building your own solarpunk community. Also comes with a PDF copy of the gamebook, making it easy to print character books and other pages for your game group.
The future isn’t fixed.
Let’s build one worth living in.
