City of Hope: An Utopian Worldbuilding RPG

Hardcover copies of CIY OF HOPE just started shipping to Kickstarter backers. If you missed out on the crowdfunder back in the fall of 2024, you can get the print and play PDF now, and you can pre-order the hardcover game book, which is currently on back order and is expected to start shipping in the second half of April.

The City of Hope RPG game book, the cover shows three people with futuristic virtual info screens in front of one eye. Behind them is a huge sunflower.

In this narrative role-playing game, you work solo or with a group to build your character, choose an animal friend, develop your enclave, and then get to work building a new and sustainable city in the aftermath of the climate wars. You can use completely freeform storytelling, or use dice to determine outcomes and degree of effect.

Character archetypes include the chaser, the climate scientist, the storyteller, the beekeeper, the dancer, the liberated prisoner, the caretaker, the falconer, the permaculturist, and the technologist.

*Shipping for this item is currently not available outside of the United States. If you live elsewhere, please order the print and play PDF.
